Why does URL keep changing from HTTPS to HTTP and back again?

Especially with no warning?

I have this site bookmarked. In the last couple of weeks I can try the site numerous times via my bookmark and not get in. I've learned, though, that if I go through the cookinglight.com front door, in those situations I can then get in via the menu/link there. I usually find at that point that the protocol for the URL has changed. I update my bookmark. The next day or the next, wash, rinse, repeat.

It's getting tiresome. Pick a protocol and stick with it!

Sorry. This should be the last time we change all this. We have eliminated the https protocol because it was causing so many problems. As of now, please reset your bookmark to http://community.cookinglight.com and everything should work correctly for the forseeable future.

Note that some people likely won't be able to see your message since they can't get in to the boards based on this change. Would it make sense to put your message on the CL homepage, or somehow send a bulk email to all who are registered in the message board?
