The Character Map codes (or whatever they're called:p) are not working. You know like using Alt+0186 for the degree sign.
That's all I've noticed so far...;)

Unfortunately, I have a Mac, so I can't try to reproduce the problem, but before I submit this to tech support, try alt+0176. It's a different code for the degree symbol that appears to be more universal. Let me know if that works.

I will give it a try... ?...hmm, interesting. Now if we can just figure out which codes to use for bobmark226's signature! Though I think it makes perfect sense as is.:p
Thanks for the quick reply!
Well it appears correctly when I type it but not in the actual post...

Testing part of my conversion chart. Either it shows up or it doesn't.
Alt+0176 = ö
Alt+0229 = å
Alt+0228 = ä
Alt+0246 = ö
Alt+0233 = é

It showed up correctly in the preview but not in the final post. Bummer!
Alt+0176 = degree
Alt+0229 = small "a" with a ring over
Alt+0228 = small "a" with two dots over
Alt+0246 = small "o" with two dots over
Alt+0233 = small "e" with apostrophe (like over the "e" in Bon Appetit)
I have a page full of letters and signs I can test, but I don't think that's necessary.
Glad the speed is up though.

Testing ?
212 ? F
I tried to cut and paste the degree symbol and it changes it to a question mark.

Just being silly, but to achieve the beginning of Bob's signature I wrote:
Alt+0226 Alt+0128 Alt+0230 I t Alt+0226 Alt+0128 Alt+0153 s
BTW the little square towards the end is Alt+0127 or Alt+0129
???It?€™s
It showed up correctly in the preview but....

This appears to be (at least partially) fixed now. We changed the character encoding style in the BB template. Please e-mail me (cl_comeditor@timeinc.com) or open a new tech support thread if you find a character that still isn't working properly.
