I am reaching out to see if anyone would like to participate in a thread such as this. My idea is to have a place where we can post our weight loss, healthy diet and workout goals and log them here. It would a) hold us accountable for what we're trying to accomplish b) encourage moral support and and c) give others ideas and tips on ways to revamp their workouts and their healthy eating habits.
My preference would be for the posts to stick to what specific steps we are taking to achieve our goals (log them each day or as often as you can) and how we are making progress. Perhaps limit exchanges about what is going on in our personal lives and keep it structured more like a fitness and healthy goal log or journal.
For example, we could start by listing our goals. Mine for now include:
Run 3 times a week
Other cardio 2 days a week
Upper and Lower Strength Sessions 2x week
No Alcohol during the week - weekends only (boo!)
Focus on eating mindfully, stopping when almost full
I could then report back each day or each week with a recap of how I did and what I did to achieve these goals. Ex:
Ran 30 mins on M, W, Sat
Spinning T, TH
No alcohol
etc, etc, etc
Would anyone be interested in this? I have tried keeping a journal just like this for myself but it did not always hold me as accountable as I would have liked. I'd be interested to see others' workout routines and such. If anyone would be interested, I'd be happy to kick us off.
