I made a leg of lamb for dinner the other night and had much left over. As I was looking through old issues of CL I came across a recipe for Scotch broth. I did a few things differently: I used cooked lanb and browned it for a few minutes to get some color and extra flavor going , added a crushed clove of garlic to the browning meat, and used 2 bunches of green onions instead of leeks because my pathetic store doesn't sell them. I liked it and so did my husband . I used less than the 2 lbs. of lamb called for{ I thought that was quite a bit}. I wouldn't go out and buy lamb just for this recipe because i love the fragrant odor of roasted lamb and spices . It's a keeper. Vicky:D
