Happy Monday!
I didn't do anything this weekend really exercise related...
Today I went to get my ipod and found it had been stolen from my van. I stupidly didn't lock it last night, the ipod was sitting in the console between the seats. This am - gone. I was so mad. Argh.
I did Burn and Shape this morning since I couldn't walk (without my music!) - my knee is a bit wonky so I wasn't sure how it would do. But it is ok. Sore on the front inside part. I'm just gonna watch it for now.
The plan is to do a dvd tomorrow and walk Thursday. We leave for NYC on Friday. DH and I are taking Jack to visit his aunt... jack will spend time with her and Bill and I will spend "couple" time. We reconvene on Sunday.:) We plan on going out to an italian restaurant near our hotel on the upper west side Friday... Sat we're going to the new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex in SoHo - John Lennon exhibit and just do a lot of walking around. It will be nice to spend alone time in the city :) My other son is going with my MIL to visit his cousins.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. :)

Happy Tuesday :)
Today I walked the park - 3.5miles of fast walking. Somehow I'm losing weight.... Not sure why but I've enjoyed looking at the scale :p
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hey, Charisse!! What a bummer about your ipod!!! It seems like nothing is sacred anymore. Be careful with your knee - ha! look who's talking. It sounds like the same area where my knee hurts. Your upcoming weekend sounds fabulous!! We live NYC. In fact, we're planning to take DS there for vacation next summer. I've heard good things about the Lennon exhibit. Enjoy your alone time! Love when the scale moves down but even more when I'm not having to do anything to make it!! Somehow that never happens to me!! Well, at least I lost .5 lb last week -- after Father's Day, I'll take anything!
Today I did a Turbo Jam & Ab Jam. Good, sweaty fun! You work hard but somehow it really doesn't feel that hard. I'll be running tomorrow......

Well, I ran this morning. Hot, tired, knee hurting a bit, and brace sliding around run. Can you tell I didn't want to play??? Kept telling myself I needed to do at least 30 minutes, then I could quit. Did the 30. Said the same thing at 45 but went on to finish. Whew! 4.19 miles -- longest ever but certainly not the prettiest! ;)

Stacy I felt the same way yesterday. I did Jump, Pump and Jab which I usually like. But I kept looking at the clock and telling myself just one more routine - hang in there!.
Great job on the over 4 miles!!!:)
I plan on doing a DVD this morning and teaching my oldest how to mow the lawn. Should be interesting!!;)
We're headed to NYC tomorrow and we're really excited!!

Have a great trip, Charisse! I'm jealous. ;) Hmmm....teaching your son to mow the lawn sounds interesting. A few days ago, mine was telling me that he didn't want me to teach him to drive....mind you, he's almost 10. Ha! I told him that he didn't have to worry -- that I had no intention of teaching him to drive!!
Sorry you're workout yesterday was like mine. Today was better for me -- STS # 10 chest, shoulders & biceps. Hope your's will be, too.
Is Valerie on vacation? Haven't seen her this week.....
Have a great weekend!

Hey Stacy,
Teaching Jack wasn't so bad:) I tried not to overload and be particular about the little areas he missed;)
I did BSS3 with Stephanie this am - it kicked my butt but I had more energy than yesterday.
Valerie is on vacation this week - I think Alysha is too - I haven't seen her on facebook. Sue still has her boot on her foot but told me her in-laws are opening the pool today so she's hoping to swim! I also saw the Kay did boxing with her hubby the other day. So people are active just not checking in here as much. I need this thread though!!!:)
Thanks we'll have a great time I'm sure - you have a good weekend too!!

Charisse I hate to say this but the scale will move back upward after a big italian dinner! Love Italian food but it always seems to hang around on me. too bad about the ipod. that's so disappointing when some jerk rips you off. Good move teaching your kids lawnmowing skills ... might get a few mowings in before the novelty wears off and it becomes a chore.
Great run stacy.. that's a good distance and running always makes you feel like you really "did something".
Yeah, I was on vacation. we were off sat thru wed but DH unfortunately was sick for the first part. bad upper respiratory/bronchitis thing. I lucked out and didn't get it... hate that when you get sick in sequence and end up killing off two weeks total. So, we didn't leave til monday. took the camper, mountain biked on monday for about 4 hours. That is a fantastic no impact workout for the legs. I am sorely lacking in the skills department but if I can't ride up it or down it, I push the bike and walk it, so the work still gets done.
Tuesday we did a beautiful hike, 12 miles RT to one of our favorite spots. no one there... being a tuesday it helps. all alone up in the sunshine sitting in 6 inches of fresh snow at the pass. We had originally planned a backpack for our time off, and the weather would not have cooperated anyway. It was snowing when we drove over on monday. Lots of people road bike this road, (part of the north cascade national park) and those folks did not look happy at all. Came back tuesday night since the weather was deteriorating and actually both of us had tired legs. Last saturday I did STS legs -I forget #14?... so my legs were sore before we even got on the bikes monday.
Today I do disk #15 and then onward into uncharted territory with #16.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Good to see you all! I am happy to report (crossing fingers, so as not to jinx it) that the pool has been working for the last 2 weeks, and I have been there for aerobics each time! I also ran in the lake the other day, and plan to do so again, today or tomorrow!:D
There's some word that the outdoor pool will be ready next week... it's WAY too hot to be in the indoor pool, though the water has been delightfully cool...

Redid disk #15 as planned. pullups and chinups are killers. I've reached the point where I can move up and down (somewhat) about 7 times and spend the rest of the approx 30 seconds holding in a bent arm position, not hanging limp like a dead animal like at first. This is tremendous progress for me although I gotta say, doesn't sound like much!
Charisse have a great time in NYC. Something I remember from when I was a kid... when we did a chore like lawn mowing, raking, etc ... my father would come home, take one look, and redo the whole thing. It was disheartening. I KNOW this isn't a parenting thread but.... it's good to let your kids think they did a great job... they'll get better and be willing to do more things if encouraged. maybe my parents were especially dense but it was a lasting unpleasant memory. so, off the soapbox and on to other things. enjoy that italian food. Yummy.. love it!.
LMG, hope you get the pool routine going again.. lake running sounds like a good workout.
Stacy.. you're on disk 10 already? I'd better get moving or you will lap the field! I plan on #16 today if I'm not too sore.

Hey, all! Happy Friday! It's been an incredibly long week!!!
Was lazy this morning and slept in. My knee is being a little wonky and it was a leg workout so I'm not too sorry.
Valerie -- Don't think I'm already through disc 10 again! I'm doing Cathe's June rotation and she's used some of the STS workouts in meso 1 as endurance workouts. She's skipped around. :D It's great that you're seeing progress on the pull-ups and chin-ups! I can appreciate just how big the small advances are.
Kay -- Glad to read you've been swimming away! The outdoor pool sounds great. Last year when I took DS to swim lessons, they had a water aerobics class going on at the same time. I always thought it looked like so much fun!
