Has anyone ordered from QVC? I've been tempted once in a while, but never went through with it! What kinds of products are real steals? If not steals, what products are worth looking into? I think I've seen mention of various cooking products on the BB, like cookware, foodsavers, etc.

I've ordered several times from them - such as my Tae Bo tapes, a nail manicure kit, etc. I have ordered from HSN as well. Both companies offered great service.

However, know your prices before hand, as the s/h costs factors in. In all cases, I bought things I was looking to get anyway, and saved money.

Like Funnybone said, know your prices ahead of time and don't forget to factor in the shipping and handling. If you know what you're doing, you really can get good buys. But do some research first. If you check their website (www.qvc.com and, while we're at it, HSN's - www.hsn.com) they'll have a listing of what's coming on and when. You can check it out, see if something interests you, and do your homework.

They have a 30 day no questions asked return policy, which I've taken advantage of any number of times.

Just a warning: if you watch one of their cookware shows, have some tums or Pepcid on hand, since some of the stuff they make looks pretty disgusting. Jacques Pepin would be gagging.

I don't sit around and watch QVC, but I surf, and when I find something I'm interested in I watch. I've ordered maybe 3 or 4 times in the past year or two...in fact, I ordered yesterday! Every single time I've ordered I've gotten what I ordered, been pleased with it, and have gotten it quickly. They also pack very well, which is important to me.

In my opinion, the only way you're really going to get a great price on something is when the buyer buys it in bulk. When your local Target has 20 of an item, they paid $50 for it so they sell it for $80. QVC may have purchased 10,000 of that same item, so they only paid $25 for it...and they may sell it for $50! I've been constantly amazed at the quality of the products and how little I have to pay for them. I've bought glass items, household items, and yesterday's purchase was two pairs of gloves, one for DH and one for me...made of Kevlar, which is used to make bulletproof vests. NOTHING pokes through these things, so you can pull rosebushes and blackberry vines, work with cut glass and around saws and drills, and not have to worry. I've seen them for around $40 each, but yesterday they were $16.40 each. I bought us each a pair! :D

Watching QVC or HSN, when they have the kitchen related products, and sometimes the fitness ones, in like watching a movie for me. I can watch for hours.

I bought a pressure cooker off of one of the shows, a couplr of years ago. It's actually great. I used it as a pressure cooker once, but now just use it as a non-stick stock pot to cook stews in. It's my favorite pot.

I am tempted alot, but know my husband will make fun of me for DAYS! if I actually buy something (we make fun of each other alot :D ), so it's good motivation not to give him any ammo.

I LOVE QVC! I order from them ALL the time (much to my husband's dismay!). I order Cook's Essentials products--fabulous--and sterling silver and diamonique jewelry--also fabulous--as well as craft items. Never had a problem!! Just be sure to save your packing invoice for awhile as it's a pain sometimes to return stuff without that with your item. Don't hesitate! Most of the time you can beat QVC's prices except for their Cook's Essentials line and diamonique. I like to watch them for ideas on anything!
