What do you store your homemade bread in? Ziploc bags are the right size but I feel like they leave a plastic taste on baked goods.
What do you use?

If I don't freeze the bread then it goes into a paper bag. Freezing though I wrap the loaf in plastic wrap, then foil and then inside a ziploc bag.

Debbie's Bread Bags! I use them exclusively. I keep my homemade bread in a drawer, in the slicing guide, in the bag, and it lasts for about a week!

Susan - Where do you get paper bags that would fit a round loaf?
Kay - I just googled the Debbies bags and those look interesting! Thanks for sharing!!

Heidi,
I've never had to bag a full loaf since they don't last very long around here. I'd probably just cut it in half and use two bags. Sorry I'm not much help.

Well, there are only 3 of us!;) If I had my way, I'd be eating nothing but fresh bread... but unfortunately, I have to get some protein in there, somewhere!:D
I have seen some people don't think the Debbie Meyer bags work at all, but my experiments don't agree. I can keep green onions and red peppers for over a week, up to 2 weeks, still fresh in the green bags! And the bread bags are great, as well! Bed Bath & Beyond carries them. (FYI) There are also red bags for cold cuts, which I haven't tried, yet.

I make my own paper bags for bread. I have a roll of kraft paper or postal wrapping paper (whatever it's called).
