Hey all!!

No exercise this weekend - we visited family in the Poconos!

Today I did BSS3 with Stephanie - again I was feeling weak as I haven't been very consistent with my workouts. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day!

How was everyone's weekends? Valerie - are you feeling better? Did you get your hike in??

Since i was mighty busy during my week days i could not take time to exercise ,so during weekends i tried to make up for it.

Did my usual 3 kms running and then three sets of 25 push ups.
I aspire to incorporate some crunches and situps in my regimen.

Hey, Charisse! I took some time off, too. :) The Poconos sounds great! Did you enjoy?

Valerie was on the road to recovery but is on vacation until Thursday, I think. Hopefully, she's having a blast.

Getting back in the swing with Turbo Jam Cardio Party. Very fun workout and the rest days gave me some extra zip! Feels good.

Claire -- Good job getting your run in. And you've gotta love those push-ups -- I need to do them more regularly as they always get me!

Hey Stacy!

I went to my park to do my usual 3.5 miles but part of it was closed due to agriculture spraying... So I had to improvise. I ran  I did 2 miles and then walked 1.5. Phew. I felt ok while running, however, I'm feeling my legs now! I really tried to make sure I stretched b/c I had a feeling. Of course, after I got back I mowed the lawn...

Taking time off is good - we had fun. My brother-in-law lives up there along with my niece - we had a birthday party for my grand niece - she was 2. Uhhh grand... Ok my niece was 8 when we got married and she had Lily when she was 20.. so I guess it can be "grand":o Still seems weird!! Especially since my youngest is 9.

Oh well - hope Valerie is having a good vacation.

Claire - good job on your running!

Stacy,

Checking in with Muscle Endurance this morning! Been a long time since I've done that one. I did some of the step ups but substituted a different exercise on most of them. I've read that's a very bad move for those with knee injuries so I wasn't going to chance it.

Charisse - Great job on your run/walk!! Two miles straight in excellent! I'll bet your legs were feeling it. Then yardwork, you go, girl!! Funny to think of a grand niece!

Claire - Valerie isn't my daughter --- we're just all friends here. :) We try to motivate one another to keep a healthy lifestyle focus.

Tee hee... nope, not stacy's daughter! Back from a total waste of vacation. I was sick the whole time. Not 'flat on my back" sort of sick, but productive cough, and feeling weak and achy all over. gardening was about the max effort. finally worked out yesterday, lightly with bike, treadmill, and elliptical for about a total of 45 minutes. needless to say it will take a few days to get back to speed.
Don't know exactly what it was, some kind of flu that had me tired, achy, feverish sometimes. lost my appetite too, so that was the best thing about it I can think of. hopefully back on track soon.

Valerie - Dang. Sorry to hear your vacation didn't turn out as planned. Hopefully, you're at the tail end now. Be kind to yourself.

I was a slug today. Didn't sleep worth a darn last night. Went to be a little later than usual and work up when microsoft sent computer updates at 3:15 am. Then I remember that I left a pork tenderloin defrosting on the counter and I forgot to put it in the fridge. Tenderloin was still cold so in the fridge it went. Then I proceeded to obsess about stuff I needed to get done at work!! Argh. I'm tired all over again! Tomorrow will be better.....

I'm back!!! I saw the podiatrist this week and he gave me the thumbs up to ditch the walking boot. Told me to ease back into things, but no more boot. Yeah!! He did say my right foot is looking a bit arthritic, so he suggested professional orthotic inserts for my running shoes. But they're $600 ( ) and my insurance won't pay for them. So....he and I are working on modifying some over the counter ones to help give me the support that foot needs.

I've been lifting and swimming while I had the boot. But this morning I took a good 3 mile walk around the neighborhood at a pretty good clip. Probably shouldn't have gone as far or as fast as I did, but it felt SO good to get out there and get the heart pumping again.

Looking forward to start posting again!

Yes!! That's great news, Sue. I'll bet your foot feels a whole lot lighter. I know all about custom inserts....DH wears them and our insurance won't pay for them, either. I were them as well but they were able to fit me with some new OTC ones...they were about either $75 or $150, can't remember which but at least a lot less then DH's $450 ones. Hope they can modify some for you! Looking forward to hearing from you!

I did KCM Kickboxing 1 & 2 Premix this morning. Had a great workout! Amazing how much better I feel with sleep!

Happy Friday!

Hi All. I am still here but better about exercising than posting. Got off track a bit two weeks ago with a migraine but am doing well now.
