Expired vitamins

I have some vitamins that expired about a year ago. I hate to waste the whole bottle. Do you think they still provide some benefit? There certainly wouldn't be any harm in taking them, would there?

I've read that vitamins are good for a long time after their expiration date. I would use them without worrying.

Unless they are oils that could go rancid, otherwise regular vitamins/herbs just lose ther potency...I know my companies are good for 2 years past manufacturing.
