problem inserting image in post

I can't include images in my posts now. I click the icon and the box comes up, I can paste in the path to the image and tell it ok, but then nothing happens. The box disappears but there's no picture in my post.

It's actually been this way for a couple of weeks at least, but when it happened before I thought it was just a temporary glitch. Apparently it's something else.

Have you tried uploading an image by adding image tags instead of using the icon?

Let's see if it will work...
Using the icon doesn't work. I'm not sure I remember how to do it with the tags but I'll try:

Obviously i remembered wrong. Can you tell me how to do it with the tags?

I just tried it twice, and the box populates, I hit OK and the box goes away but nothing happens. Does it work for you?

The button is probably corrupted. I had a similar problem a few years ago and I can't remember how I fixed it. I'll try to remember what I did.
