Manhattan Vacation Rentals?

I'm going to New York the first weekend in December for a girls weekend and since there are 5 of us we thought it would be better to look for an apartment rather than book 2 hotel rooms.

Does anyone have any recommendations? We'd like to stay in midtown if possible. I've already scoured VRBO and HomeAway.

Thought I'd ask here since you are all such a wealth of knowledge!

There are plenty of sublets on Craigslist. I also love recommending Radio City Apartments though they are I guess more "hotel" like:
