Hi guys!!!

I'm sorry I've been so sporadic! Crazy fall schedule:cool: And unfortunately, my working out has been sporadic too.

But, it's a new week, right? Yesterday I did BSS3 with Pam - all weights. Whew. I am soooo sore today. Hoping this will jump start me. The weather has turned and it quite chilly. We have off today - plan on getting out early to Wegmans and then home to do some baking ;)

Valerie - I read about your headaches. Are they still gone?

Sue - wow - sorry to hear about the bp issues!! I'll be in touch via facebook!

Stacy - iron woman!! :) Are you still working out in the morning? I tried it that one week - no shock, it was just those two days!! Oh well!

Shugness - Did you get up this Monday am? Or are you off on Columbus day?

Hope everyone is healthy!!!

Hey charisse... good to have you back. Nothing like the morning after soreness factor to make you regret skipping workouts! Ouch! I know I'll have the same issue when I do GS legs later today.

I'm doing well. Friday did bike, treadmill, half of GS Back/ biceps, some pushups. Saturday we did a good 8 mile hike. so gorgeous in the mountains this time of year with the colors changing and a little dusting of snow. absolutely lovely. Sunday I did bike, treadmill and more pushups. today I will go GS chest triceps.. the push ups have been to get me primed to add back in some serious upper body work. Headache was medication related and is gone, I'm off the med.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and is getting the week started with a good workout.

Hey Charisse and Valarie! Last week started out good - Monday and Tuesday I worked out 45 minutes. Then Tuesday turned out to be a bad day at work, and I didn't sleep very well at all that night. Was too tired to work out Wednesday morning, then the work day was even worse than the day before, slept even less than night, so I skipped Thursday's work out too. Friday I was too discouraged from work to work out. I know, a whole lot of excuses. :)

As for the weekend I should have gotten out and did something - kept meaning to go for a bike ride - but I've been remodeling my house (my 5 year project!) and focused on doing some of those things as well as doing all the household chores - laundry, etc.

But yes, I did get back at it again this morning, I did 30 minutes all together, 20 on the elliptical and 10 on the treadmill. It felt good - hopefully I can stay on track this week.

Hope you guys have a great week!

Hi all!

I've been super motivated. I hope it sticks!

I started running outside using Podrunners interval program. I also bought Cardio Coach Volume One and love it! I did that on the treadmill at first but since I run outside I've moved to the elliptical.

I did get a pedometer and am doing Spark People's 10,000 steps a day challenge. Sometimes it's hard to get all those steps in on my rest days.

KristiB, thanks for the pedometer reminder. they are great moltivators. I have one but stopped using it when I had to wear a different monitor for a while and I never got it out again.

Did the standing portion of GS legs yesterday, along with coremax #2. yes, I have a sore butt today. Legs are OK likely because we've been hiking regularly. I also did not push the weights, settling for 25 lbs

I expect a little soreness when I haven't done a workout for a awhile but I don't want incapacitating soreness... I'd rather do half a workout, reasses the next morning and finish it 2-3 days later. I get sore but not so sore I don't ever want to see the DVD again. I hope that sounds reasonable and not wimpy. It seems to work well for me.

Happy Wednesday :)

Shugness - I understand the bad day at work! I had one of those yesterday... it probably would have been good for me to work it out but I spent 3 hours in my van driving kids around to various things!!!! Glad you were able to get back into it on Monday.

Today, however, I went right down into the basement and did Cardio Overdrive (FIRM) Sweaty mess:p DH bought a dry erase board for his workouts and I added mine on as well :D I like my visuals!!

Valerie - glad the headache mess is gone. I bet its beautiful in your mountains right now. Our leaves are just starting to turn and with the wet weather we had in the summer I think it will be gorgeous!

Kristi - you go, girl!! Is there speaking on the Cardio Coach? How long/far are you running?

Time to go pick up Jack from practice... off to the van.......

We're sick here. DS has the flu, DH has strep and they treated me for both. The last workout I did was Saturday. Hopefully, we'll fell better soon.

You guys keep up the good work!!

Stacy, sorry to hear you guys are down for the count. DH and I had it in july. Hope you are back on your feet soon. I take the time I need when I'm sick, not one to work out until i feel decent.

charisse it was beautiful in the mountains, but now it's raining and will be for a while. probably new snow up high. hope one day this weekend is worth the drive, but yesterday was not.

I am getting back in line. I've done the whole GS series this week, did chest triceps yesterday. I got fairly sore from the leg portion and am glad I only did the standing part. I'm aiming at getting STS started again maybe Nov 1. I reduced my weights just because most of the exercises I haven't done since July.

Shugness sometimes life gets in the way, but you just get back as soon as you can. I feel so much better after this week of good workouts.

Happy Wednesday :)

It's a 30 minute or so program and he talks you through 6 hills and 3 sprints.

Outside I'm doing Podrunner's Interval program. There's a 5k an 8k and a 10k program. It's techno music with a beat and there's a bell that sounds when you;re supposed to run and walk. So far I really like it. Right now I'm at 30 minutes but next week will be a longer program.

When I went from the treadmill to outside I got my butt kicked. If only the ground were to move beneath me :D

That sucks that you're sick Stacey! Take care of yourself!!! I am so paranoid about getting the H1N1 since I can't get the vaccine yet.

KristiB, DH and I used to run outside. finally bought a treadmill cause especially in the winter it's too dark to run before work. the treadmill platform has a little give to it that makes running less jarring to legs and feet... but is it ever a shock to run on pavement after years of the cushy treadmill surface! I won't be giving up my treadmill any time soon.
