Hi Just ret from the garden with perfect yellow and orange tomatoes...I used a few on Mexican salsa by mixing red and yellow with tomatillos the salsa looked so colorful. Now should i use the rest on a tomato sauce for pasta? Have anyone tried this? I have like 2 days to plan this since tomatoes are still ok sitting on my counter on baskets. I also have a full 3 bags of basil so any ideas on the yellow tomatoees (they are round and big I think lemon boy) would be appreciated

When we have lots of tomatoes, we just grab a handfull or slice the bigger tomatoes, sprinkle them with a little sea salt and add them to our meal as is. It's such a pleasure to eat home grown tomatoes.
I love a pasta done with fresh basil and multi-colored tomatoes. Chop them up while the water for the pasta comes to a boil and cook while the pasta is boiling. Throw in a red one or some red bell pepper too and it will be gorgeous! Saute a little garlic, onion if you like, then add the choped tomaotes. You could add other veggies, maybe something green, but I think I'd put them in a side or a salad and keep this simple. Let the tomatoes cook to sweat and add a little wine, broth or balsamic if you like, then a touch of salt and pepper and the basil. Voila! Sauce made while the pasta boils.

Thanks for the ideas! :). I decided (since DH is the only one eating tomatoes...made a big batch of salsa for DH & co workers, then for tonight a no cook tomato salsa with yellow tomatoes, black olives, onion, basil, oil, & balsamic vinegar just keep it at room temp and add to hot pasta. I found a easy gazpacho recipe which might look awsome using orange tomatoes....and the rest are riping so it will go towards sauce, salad etc
