Well, still crazy here. Valerie, I'll bet you've given up on us. I am so sorry -- will try to be a better exercise friend. Trying to motivate myself and having a little trouble. Today I did get up and do a pilates DVD. First time thru and I didn't love it. I got a little sweaty and some of the stuff I had trouble doing but afterward I didn't feel like I did much at all. Cardio tomorrow....I WILL BE BACK!!!
Valerie - Did you start STS again?
See you tomorrow! :)

Back with Cathe's 4DS Low-Intensity Step. Added on core work & stretch from core fusion. Not sure what I'll do tomorrow but it will be something!!!
Should get to play tennis with DS this afternoon, too. Looks to be a nice day here!

hi stacy.. actuallly I had kind of given up. charisse hasn't been around either nor has anyone else. Actually traffic seems really light all across the BB.
I'm still plugging away. haven't started STS... been sticking with the GS series and have done both upper body disks every week. Did back/ biceps tuesday and increased the weight on almost every move... and I didn't get sore.
Did GS legs a couple times but a week ago monday... I remember it well... I did the entire disk, all reps and I got so sore I was hoping someone would shoot me. we went on a long hike on wed and I thought I wouldn't get out! Wowee, those "little" moves in the floor portion absolutely killed me. so it's time to try that one again. I swear, it took a week to recover. I did treadmill and elliptical but could not face a leg weight workout. I try not to get myself into that spot.
Have you been working out regularly? last you posted( I think) your whole family was sick.

I had noticed the light traffic even before my life fell apart, LOL. I know Charisse doesn't have computer access at work anymore and that makes it hard.
We've all finally recovered but it's really been slow. Kyle played baseball this fall and along with tennis, we've been busy almost every night. Then throw in trying to inverview contractors for the kitchen. I've just been overwhelmed. Baseball's over and I'm interviewing any more contractors - just need to finalize estimates & determine who we're going use.
I have kept up 3 - 4 workouts/week but I've had trouble getting back to the consistency I had before. They've not been as intense, either. Glad to hear you've kept at it! And good job on the entire GS Legs! I'm sure I have a week of soreness in my future, too, but I'm putting it off. I'm trying to make an easier transition. Keep your fingers crossed.

we just hired a contractor to grade an area near our driveway and remove trees & tree stumps. I usually get several bids but this time I liked the first guy and his price was reasonable so I went with him. DH wanted me to interview more, but that takes time and can delay things and I'm the one who has to be there and screen them etc.
I know how crazy it can get... we did a partial kitchen remodel about 2 years ago and it was nuts. I'm not sure what's worse, doing the stuff yourself or trying to hire someone to do it. our biggest project was a deck replacement and we interviewed 4 guys for that. we did a roof and interviewed 3. it's hard to keep it all straight sometimes and IMO the person you communicate best with trumps small price differences. you will be seeing a lot of whoever it is and if you don't like the guy, or he's bad about calling back... well, it can get old in a hurry. Good luck on that... feel free to complain!

Good luck with your driveway project! You are so right about the contractors. I've interviewed 5; 3 have potential. What I want to do has evolved over time so I'll need to circle back to shore up the estimates. It's been a huge time commitment! One of the contractors sends each one of his guys out individually -- cabinet, granite, electrician, etc. so that was even more time. At least, though, I think the time was well spent. I'm going to look at appliances tomorrow. I've done a lot of research on-line but now need to hit the pavement. I'm getting tired of it even before it starts!
I did workout this morning! Had to cut it short - DH & I were too chatty. He's been in school two nights per week and doing lots of homework so we're missing time together. I did the Pyramid Upper Body -- up only premix. Probably a good choice since I've been delinquent anyway. Maybe I'll only be a little sore!

Yum -- cheesecake and pasta!! Two of our favorites! Wish DH a happy birthday. My chest is sore from yesterday's pyramid workout. Probably good I had to cut it short.
Hope you enjoyed your lunch date. Busy day here -- vet, groceries, and appliance shopping. Took DS for a walk/run this morning. Lovely day here -- breezy, sun's out. We did close to three miles. I'm pretty happy since I haven't run at all over the last couple of months.
Enjoy the weekend!
