Hi! My name is Claudia and I would love to start a supper club with like minded individuals within close proximity to Kirkland, WA. I am a Food TV addict and love to read my Cooking Light magazine recipes, though simple-taste Hubby and toddler don't always appreciate my expensive ingredients. Our 2nd baby is due this January so would love to get this off the ground before then so we can pick back up after the holidays are over. I'm thinking about an October meet and greet date at a local restaurant (Calabria? anyone:) Followed by our supper club kickoff in November. My goals are simple: 1)share great food with people who will appreciate it. 2) have this be a babysitter evening whether weekday or weekend 3) meet every other month so we don't feel like we just did the dishes before it's time to cook again. I live in the Juanita area and am very interested in a Kirkland-area supper club. I'd prefer to meet on a weekday (any day but Thursday). I think meeting only every other month might not be enough for us to get to know each other. . . but every month might be a bit much. Maybe we could compromise and pick a few months to skip, meeting 8 times a year? I also like the idea of having one supper a year where spouse/significant other is invited. This sounds like so much fun! :)

See? I told you it would take me awhile to respond...Yes, let's plan on an October meet and greet date. I will attempt to contact each thread by email this week. I like the 8 times a year idea...Bringing surrounding eastside in is of course fine with me, but the definition of Bellevue is so big these days I was just attempting to limit all of our commute times :) See you all soon I hope.
