I was in a hurry yesterday while going to get some mustard for the Spinach Balls I'm making today. I thought the Cranberry Mustard sounded interesting. This is the description on the label
"A blend of tart cranberries, fine dijon mustard & a hint of orange".
Will that clash with the balls????

I think it sounds like it would be delicious. You have a rich bite of greens that would benefit from a sour, cut -through-the-fat taste. In the south, we serve collards with pepper vinegar. It's just a holiday version of that. And, if someone doesn't like the combo, they can stop dipping, right?
I like heartier mustards and I think the cranberry would be good too. I'm wishing now that I had put out the cranberry mango chutney with our spinach balls.

I think it would be good and would definitely compliment the spinach balls nicely. As lantana suggested, if people don't like it, they don't need to eat any more of it. I think the spinach balls are great on their own, as well.

UPDATE: The Spinach Balls were a huge hit!! I followed the recipe exactly. I cooked them and put them in my Pyrex Portable with the "hot" pack. The cranberry mustard was a great compliment to them!!:D

I hope I am not diverting this thread, but wanted to say that cranberry mustard used to be available at Trader Joe's - at least at holiday seasons.
It was fabulous and I always stocked up when I saw it.
But they no longer carry it and I'd love to know the brand name of the one you found.
. . . . or how to make it from scratch.

Thanks for the tip, Rae.
I didn't see pricing or a way to order on line from there, but they do give a toll free number, so I'll give it a try, based on your recommendation.
