Anyone want to share their favorite punch recipe? I have searched on CL and SOAR and found one I may try but I thought I'd ask if anyone has a tried recipe they love. Thanks for the help!

My MIL makes a wonderful punch for all special occasions:

Banana Punch

Sugar syrup (see below)
5 ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups frozen orange juice concentrate
juice of two lemons
1 can (46 oz.) pineapple juice
Ginger ale

Make a syrup of 8 c. water and 4 c. sugar. Boil 5 minutes, then cool completely. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Freeze in quart containers. To serve, put frozen punch in a punch bowl and add an equal amount of ginger ale. (This is very sweet. You could probably use diet ginger ale if you want it less sweet.)

I have never made this (just enjoyed it many times!). This seems like it would make a lot, which is probably why she always has some ready to go in her freezer. I feel sure that you could cut the recipe and make a smaller amount.

I got this recipe from a friend.

Ginger-apple punch.
Equal parts Ginger ale Apple Juice.

It's very good. Sometimes she will do something like freeze juice/grapes in a jello mold and float it in the punch bowl. Sometimes she'll use ice cream.

funnybone,

Thanks! I did a search but obviously I should have gone to the archives. Thanks again, these will help with my decision.
