I live in the inland empire (Chino) and would love to start a supper club in this area. If there is anyone interested, please respond. I know there are some other CL fans out there who want to get together to eat and have fun!

Hi teresa, sorry it took so long to reply...I'm a little new at this site so I was lost on how to retrieve replys to my posts and so on...Anyway I am still interested in a supper club. And yes chino is very close by. Have you gotten any other replys? let me know. I think we should start if we can get three of us minimum. If there are more...GREAT... but if not we can get going. What do you think?

I am glad that you responded!! I have been watching the OC thread and they are planning to meet at the Tustin Marketplace. I was originally thinking of joining them, but to travel out there on a regular basis would not be convenient, especially if we can get a few more out here. Let's see if anyone posts in the next few days!
Teresa:)
Hi.
See what happens with the OC group... maybe we could do a north OC/IE group... who knows.
I don't know how many people are REALLY interested in participating.
Have a good weekend!
:)

I too live in Chino, and would be interested in a supper club. I'm single, mid-40s, teenage daughter, and am just getting into cooking. What interest level do you have at this point? Are you close to getting together?

Hi Donna & TERESA
Good to hear from another person interested in the supper club. My schedule varies every week but i can manage to set aside a certain night of the week as long as it is not friday or saturday. Sometimes I work those nights. Tuesdays are the best for me but other days can be managed too. What kind of hours do you guys work and/or are available? Do we want to meet at a local restaurant before hand? I am single, no kids, or otherwise. Lets get going :0)!

Hi everyone! I live in Riverside and I am very interested in joining the IE group! I just finished reading the article in CL and it sounds like fun! I spoke with one of my girlfriends and she's also interested in joining. Please keep us posted on the first meeting.:)

Hey everyone!! This is great. I think since we have about 5 people interested now we should wait another day or two for any additional interested people and then start thinking of some restaurants where we could meet. Since we have people from Covina, Chino and Riverside maybe we should pick some place inbetween, like the Ontario Mills Mall. I know there are some good restaurants out there like Cucina Cucina and the New York Grill. Those are just suggestions, of course. Any night of the week is okay with me. By the way, Donna, I teach at Chino High School. Where does your daughter go?

It looks like a nice size group is starting! Ontario Mills works for us - it's only about 20mins from our houses in Riverside. However, my friend takes a class on Tuesday nights?! Can we pick another night to get together? Thanks!! Carrie

Wow... this is really sounding fun. Since Carrie and her friend are not good on Tuesday, and I have yoga on Monday, how about Wednesday or Thursday nights? Ontario Mills works for me - I'd vote for Cucina Cucina over New York Grill. If we want to get this going soon, could I suggest 9/19 or 20? (I'm out of town the entire week of the 10th - or I'd suggest that week instead). Theresa - my daughter is a Sr. at St. Lucy's, but she has tons of friends at CHS. What do you teach?

The 19th or the 20th sounds fine with me! Does everyone just want to agree on Cucina Cucina? Now we just need a time and a solid date. Keep the replies and feedback coming! P.S. I teach biology so my students are mostly 10th graders. I bet your daughter knows some of my former students!

Cucina Cucina sounds good to us!! Anytime after 6 or 6:30 pm works! The 20th is a better day, but I'm flexible. I'll keep checking the site to see what is decided... Carrie:)

Hi All, It has taken me about an hour and a half to get this screen to come up and give me a chance to send a message. I have so much to learn about computers. I would be interested in your supper club, although I'm new to 'Cooking Light' I live in Ontario and am in my fortys. I have tw sons, and I love to try new cooking ideas on the whole family. Let me know if there is room left. My name is Terri.

How about Thursday Sept 20, 6:30 pm - Cucina Cucina at Ontario Mills... Are there now six of us? (Teresa, Terri, Carrie, Carrie's friend, AnaLaura, and Donna). Anybody else out there? Seems like 6 to 8 would be a good group size..

Sounds good! I think we should all agree unless anyone else has any conflicts! How should we identify each other once we are at the restaurant?

Hi everyone, Sorry I've been out of town so I haven't been able to reply. The 20th sounds like it's the day. Are we meeting in front of cucina cucina or in the lobby/bar area?

Hi all! I am posting to let you guys know that I can't make the 20th. I think I mentioned that I teach. Well, I went back to work on Tuesday and just found out today that I have back to school night on the 20th. So it looks like you guys will have to have the first one without me. Sorry!:(

The 19th works just as well for me. I agree that since Teresa is the 'founding member' we should adjust to her schedule. Looking forward to meeting everyone... Donna

Hi everyone, The 19th is fine with me too! I do have a friend interested in coming too. Is that ok with everyone? She lives in Chino and has been trying to connect, but can't seem to post a thread. Let me know. Her name is Jeanine.
Thanks,
Terri

The 19th works fine for me. Is there anyone who can't make the 19th? I would hate to change it and then have someone else not be able to come.

I too live in Chino and would love to be part of a supper club. I have been enjoying the Cooking Light magazine for about a year and I love it. Any other people interested in a supper club in the Chino area?

Small but great meeting last night at Cucina Cucina. My husband Ed and I enjoyed meeting Donna and Christina. I just got the ability to post! Anyway we are looking forward to October 16, 2001 at 6:30PM at Christina's house in Highland for the first meeting. Unfortunately, there were only 2 of the people that had posted at the meeting last night. Any reason why?

I just read the reply that you guys met last night. I posted my reply that I couldn't make it on Wednesay and checked back frequently, but no one really responded as to whether or not we were going to continue with Thurs. night or change to Wed. (I guess it just didn't seem defined to me). Plus, I never got a message from the CL browser telling me that someone had posted, so in the the last few days I never checked the posts. This compiled with the fact that I broke my foot on Saturday night, made me not show up on Wednesday. Maybe other people were also unsure of the day. What do you guys think? Anyway, I hope you guys had fun! Maybe more of us can get together on the 16th!

hi everyone, i was just getting ready to head over to cucina cucina at ontario mills and decided to check the web site for anything i might want to print and bring along. To my surprise i found that you guys had met the night before-wednesday. I did not receive any emails letting me know of any new posts so i too like teresa did not check the board. Could we maybe have one person create an email group log to send info to everyone so that we don't run the risk of not being notified by this web site? I will head over to cucina cucina anyway and hope that some other people might show up not realizing the error that happened.

Sure, we can have the next meeting at my house. We decided last night that the host would plan the menu, make the entree and let others bring all other sides. If you can each email me your email addresses (Donna, Ed and Linda I already have) to me at DMChristina@msn.com I will send directions, etc. Looking forward to meeting all of you! It is set for 10/16/01 at 6:30pm. Also, please let me know if you have any food allergie!

Sounds like arrangements for our first meeting didn't quite go as planned... I'd be happy to assemble an email list so we can communicate in a more reliable manner... I'm at dnmarena@aol.com. Send me your email address so we can share specifics on our next get together and continue to build our group.

Sorry, I'm not reading very well tonight... Didn't see that Christina had already posted to collect email addresses... Looking forward to hearing the menu theme, planning and preparing my food contribution, and spending some more time with new friends.

hello everyone. I live in Riverside and I've been looking for a Supper Club to join. I work in Downtown LA, so...driving to Chino Hills or Chino is not a problem. If someone would email me back with details of your next meeting, I'd love to participate. I LOVE TO COOK and I LOVE TO EAT even more! hahaha

I recently moved to Corona and am interested in joining a club out in that area. I currently belong to an OC group, but would love to meet people out where I now live.
Are you still including new members?

Hi, since I didn't get a response from my original posting for a club in Riverside, I decided to read through old posts and I was so excited to see this one! I live in Riverside, and am very interested in joining a club and was wondering if this one got off the ground and was still going on? Please someone let me know! I did PM a few people whose names I saw here to ask also.
