Chefzhat mentioned this website on another thread. I had never heard of it, but I looked it up and set up an account. It looks like it could be extremely helpful.

My question is this: Are you supposed to enter activites such as sleep, etc...or are those things included in your "lifestyle" calories burned? Do you only enter things that are considered "extra" activites - i.e. running, etc.?

Anybody familiar with this??

TIA - KLynn

I like the concept of FitDay.com but felt it was hard to work with. I am not sure about your quesion. Hopefully someone can add clarity. Wonder if there are any other sites similar that are easier to work with?

KLynn: I just came across your posting, and although I'm a little late, here's my two-cents-worth:
I have found fitday.com to be VERY helpful. I have been using it since the end of July, and rely on it daily to calculate my caloric intake, and keep me on track of a 20-25% fat, 25% protein, and 50-55% carb ratio. As for the activity, I selected a lifestyle for normal activities (ie sleeping, housework, etc.), and then add in my daily work-outs. It sounds silly, but I'm very motivated by a calendar full of soccer balls!!! It has its limitations, and it is rather slow, but I've also discovered, when entering foods, that if you click on View all recent foods or View all Custom foods, you can then check several foods to add at once, rather than individually. (A little time-saver tip that took me a couple of weeks to stumble upon!;) )
