Hello! We are currently trying to hash out meeting details for an East Valley supper club and are looking at September 15th in the mid-afternoon and are trying to get suggestions for a location. Any suggestions? Currently, there are 8 people interested but we welcome anyone else! I have lived here in northeast Mesa (Brown and Greenfield) for about 8 months but still only know a small area of between here and north Scottsdale! Where is everyone else at? I know someone was from Tempe and someone else from Chandler- right?

I live in Tempe and am interested. I think the idea of meeting another time other than 9/16 is a good idea so that we don't overlap the other group. I am still open to 9/15. Someone suggested that we NOT meet at the Food Court because of the noise and the difficulty of getting a table. Any other suggestions?

Well, I know that a neutral location such as a restaurant was suggested, but I would be happy to host a gathering here at my house. I wouldn't have to worry about childcare that way and we wouldn't have to worry about a restaurant being too crowded at any given time. Since I don't know any restaurants outside of Scottsdale, I figure this is the only recommendation I can make! LOL! I am open to anything though and am penciling in September 15th in the afternoon sometime to at least keep the day open.

How about the Wildflower Bread Company at Guadalupe and McClintock. They have yummy sandwiches and salads. It's casual and inexpensive, so if you need to bring your kids, it's no problem. It shouldn't be too busy on a Saturday afternnoon. It's easy to find from both the 60 and 101 freeways. If this sounds good to everyone, I'll post more specific directions.

The Wildflower Bread Company sounds like a great idea! I've never been there but have heard that it is yummy and has a nice, casual atmosphere. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for kid appropriate locales! Let's go with it. :)

Okay--let's make it official! The East Valley Supper Club will meet on Saturday September 15 at Wildflower Bread Company at 3:00pm.
Wildflower Bread Company is at 6428 S. McClintock. The plaza in which the restaurant is located is on the southwest corner of Guadalupe and McClintock. There is a Trader Joe's, Walgreens and Steinmart in the same plaza.
From the 60 freeway, exit at McClintock and head south, turn right into the plaza right after you pass Guadalupe. From the 101 freeway, exit at Guadalupe and head west. Turn left at McClintock and right into the plaza.
I'll post on the "Tempe" thread also, in case anyone is still reading over there and on the two "Phoenix" sites also.
Can't wait to meet everyone!

Just curious if everyone is still planning on meeting this afternoon? I hope to be there, but may run into trouble with my husband needing to be at work. Please respond to let me know what happens if I don't make it!
