Hello,
I'm curious, if you had/have Morton's Neuroma in your foot, I was wondering what kind of pain did it cause? symptoms? what if anything, did you do? The shots?
My foot doc gave me a bit of info, but I forgot to ask him what were the most common symptoms. He said I have it, but just trying to see how much that might be contributing to my foot issues. It seems that its just one of the few issues , just not sure how big a role it might be playing in my pain in my ^%))$. Oh, I mean my foot.
I'll be going back in a few weeks so will ask him more then.
Many thanks.

I have it in my right foot. Have had two shots at different times, as painful as it sounds, through the top of the foot. The Dr. used a "freezing" spray. Yes, it hurt, but my DD, a nurse, said it is worse if the shot is given through the bottom of the foot. It helped the pain immediately and was good for a few months only, at least for me. It started up out of nowhere a few years ago when I was doing physical fitness.
I have researched on the web and general consensus is neither surgery nor shots are a cure. I would have gone the surgical route, but since they say it is not guaranteed to be a cure, won't go this way.
It doesn't make any difference whether I have sneakers on or low heels. The severe pain comes and goes when I least expect it and when it hurts, it feels like walking on the tip of a knife. It is just below the last two toes. Getting a wider shoe does help. It is my driving foot so when it acts up, I am most uncomfortable.
Have tried padding around the area among things but they don't always do much good.
Wish I could be more positive but this is how it feels to me. They say weight doesn't help and wearing high heels from an early age probably contributed to the condition.

Thanks so much for the feedback. A few weeks back I was was walking back from WF and I had a sharp pain in my foot that it felt like something was cutting into it. As if something sharp was in my sneaker. But only happened that one time (at least soooo far).
I know this doc is going to want me to get "his" orthotics. Right now I have custom orthotics just for my sneakers, and he didn't like those (I can't recall why, and not taking it all as gospel). I think his orthotics go for a whomping $500 or something. We'll have to talk about that.
Now if one of my docs can tell me why my small toes feels different from the rest (just a different sensation, kind of numb) -- and if it from the surgery I had on the toe, and/or the position (close to the next toe and a bit under). Seems like the surgery didn't help at all.
What reallly bothers me, is that I want to be walking on these feet for another 40+ years, and if I'm have issues now. Grrr. Stupid flat feet, and crazy toes.
Now having some knee probs, wonder how much that is from the feet issues, or my knees are getting old.
Thanks for your help.

Well, I don't have another 40 years plus, but I want to be walking on these feet for a lot longer. I have orthotics in my sneakiers, they don't fit into dress shoes.
Because you are not walking properly, you are throwing off your whole system, knees and possibly back. You might need to get another opinion.
Hope things get better. I always carry an extra pair of schoes with me in case the feet acts up and a change sometimes helps.
