We have a CL cooking club in Miami that has been meeting for over a year, and having a fabulous time. One of our members recently moved out of state:( and while we can never replace her, we are interested in meeting more fun people who like to cook and eat. We sometimes stray from the Cooking Light recipes, and we like to polish off at least a couple bottles of wine at each meeting-or sour-apple martinis at our last one. We always include our significant others, and it is always a very fun evening. Our next event is planned for September 15th at my house.

Amy, just bumping this up to the top. I'm a member of the Miami supper club & would just like to expound on what Amy has posted. Don't feel you need to have a great kitchen or a dining room that will seat everybody. We sit around coffee tables or anywhere that will make do. We usually have our food prepared before hand & just warm up or finish off at the host house/apt. We've have our culinary successes and failures but we always have fun. We have a diverse age group. If you're thinking you might be interested, please get in touch.

Hi! I'm Beth and I live in Aventura. I have a small apartment and kitchen so we might be kind of crowded. I can't say that I am a very experienced cook but I haven't killed anyone yet (just kidding!)

Let me know if you are still looking for another prospective member. How often does your group usually meet?

Hi Beth. Yes we're still looking for new members. One of our members will be moving to Aventura soon. I live in Miami Beach and Amy lives in Kendall. We get together once a month. The next dinner will be at Amy's house Sept. 15th. We take turns hosting and the hostess picks the main dish to prepare. The rest of us make the sides & dessert. Everybody brings wine or beer--but if you don't drink, don't feel that you need to bring anything. We would love to have you. If you're interested, we can give you more details and directions.

Hi! I am moving to Key Biscayne, FL in about a week and would like more details on the Miami supper club, if there are still "openings". How does it work? Who do I contact? How many people are there in the club and what would I need to bring? I'd like to meet some new people, as I'll be brand new to the Florida area. I'm moving from Washington, DC. Thanks so much! I can be contacted at "cbessonette@excite.com".

Claire and Beth-yes, we are still looking for new members. The next one is Sept. 15th at my house-email me for address and directions. My email is amy@community.hipmama.com
Claire-I just moved back here from DC last year-believe me I don't miss Washington a bit. And Key Biscayne is such a beautiful area-you're going to love it. I hope you both come on the 15th-I haven't yet decided on the main dish. I was thinking about doing tapas, complete with Sangria of course.;) I have a 21 month old daughter, and she usually attends supper club (though we just found a babysitter), as do our significant others (one of our members announced her engagement at our last dinner!) We always have a great time, and would really look forward to meeting both of you!
