View Full Version : Gail Harries, where ARE you..?
There's something wrong with either my e-mail or your e-mail, I guess, and I would love for you to share your knowledge of Australian wines with the rest of us. Yes? No? Maybe..?

Hi Gail,
I'm here...actually it's my Aussie husband's knowledge!! He's been teaching me.
Bryan and I drink mostly chardonnay from Western Australia in the Margaret River Region, which is where Bryan is from. We have it shipped over periodically. But one of our recent favorites has been the Brookland Valley 1998 Sauvignon Blanc. It has a delicious passion fruit aroma and flavour. Bad thing was it has been so popular, that our last shipment was a case of 1999, seems the '98 had already sold out. So it will be on our rack for a bit.
A "fail safe" for those beginning to acquire a taste for Aussie Chardonnay that can be purchased in America at a reasonable price is Jacob's Creek from South Australia.

Thanks, Gail (Feels weird typing that!) I've notice the Jacob's Creek around here, but haven't tried it yet. Now I will! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Hi Gail & Gail:
There is a web site you might want to check www.australianfinewines.com.au/ (http://www.australianfinewines.com.au/)
I believe they ship outside Australia only. Shipping, prices, wine & other info available
I am not sure as to limitations since some USA states you cannot ship wine (like Maryland)
