where can I buy farro?

Hi everyone,
I just got Cooking Light and I want to try the Farro and Beet salad from this month's magazine, but I cannot find farro anywhere. I live in Northern VA. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in your area? Those would be the first two places I'd check.

Yep, I'd check WF, TJ's and Wegmans in your area.

if not, Williams-Sonoma, QVC, Amazon.com, King Arthur flour all have websites where it will probably be available.

can't imagine TJ's not having it, though.

I buy it at Whole Foods, and have a friend who lives in northern VA who finds it there as well.

I've never seen it at Trader Joe's - I got our bagful from Whole Foods.

If you have a store that sells in bulk[spices,nuts,grains, flour], you might want to check there.

Farro, an ancient wheat grain, has become quite popular these days among ingredient-driven chefs and cooks. With this new found interest a lot of misinformation has also come along. I’m not sure when it began, but possibly as a result of a misinformed article written by Heidi Julavits in a New York Times Sunday magazine piece from November 2008...Tell me where Can I buy it..
