I just bought an incredible peppermill. It's called the Magnum Unicorn. You know those recipes that call for 1/2 tsp of pepper and you sit there and turn and turn and turn and turn and....?
Well, 2-3 turns of the Unicorn and you're done. It's easy to load via a side opening (no fighting the metal mechanism) and the size of the grind is adjustable.
It's not chap, but it's worth every penny. You can order them at http://www.peppergun.com/
They make great gifts - I gave one to my father for his birthday and at first the reaction was one of total perplexion. Then every time I talked to my parents over the next couple of weeks they marvelled at how good it is.
