Why am I getting these again?!

me too. It is getting very annoying. I thought it was AOL pushing their security package.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Well, I got the error, but I selected "Show Content" and now I don't get the error any more.
I take that back. I don't get the error as long as I don't close and reopen IE. When I do that, the error comes back so then I click on Show Content again and it goes away until I close and reopen IE.
Off to check security settings in IE.

can't really log on...what's happening? Is it CLBB or something else. It stops me cold and only hitting the close key constantly can I get on briefly. To get to this point, i.e., answering thread, it took me 10 trys. The security warning won't let me on.

I too get this every time I move to a different page in the Cooking Light forums. I am on Windows7. Is there a specific IE setting that I can change to stop this?

I think I found something that works. At least until the problem is fixed here.
Go to Internet Options from the Tools menu of IE and select the Advanced tab. Scroll aaaalllllll the way to the bottom and deselect "Warn about certificate address mismatch*".
Close that window and close IE and restart IE. It doesn't seem to be happening with my computer any more since I deselected that.

Dang, that's too bad. I wish it had.
Will we ever hear from anyone from CL as to whether this is being worked on?

I won't hold my breath..at least they could say they are having problems so we all don't wonder about what is going on and have some kind of "ballpark" idea of time.

It is an IE8 issue. This worked for me:
1. Go to Tools -> Internet Options
2. Select the "Security" tab -> Click the "Custom Level" button
3. In the "Miscellaneous" section change “Display mixed content” to Enable
4. Exit IE and then reopen
Hope it works for you too,
Sarah

I had this one already selected due to another site I visit and it didn't help for this problem for me.
I hope it helps for others, though.

It works for me...I still have an error on the page message but it is a shield so I don't have to click on anything.
The REAL solution is for CL to update their security certificate

That's exactly right. Maybe they will stop by, after Easter, and update on what's going on.

Is this only happening for those using Internet Explorer? Or is it also happening in Firefox and/or Safari? I'm using Firefox and haven't been able to replicate.

FOR GOODNESS SAKE.....SOMEBODY, AT LEAST RESPOND!
I realize that this problem has carried over the Easter weekend but not one person from Cooking Light has responded to let us know what is happening. I've turned off the security on one computer but am getting nervous about that and tomorrow I will reverse it and just go back to checking this thread to find out if the problem has been corrected. Traffic here was already down and I believe if this isn't corrected soon it will be down further!
End of rant! Good night

Yes, you need to reverse the changes you made.
It appears to be an IE problem. I use Firefox and haven't had any trouble but I just tried accessing the board in IE on both computers (XP and Windows 7) and keep getting the warning for anything I tried to do.

Hi, everyone -
Our tech team is currently working on this issue: it seems to only be happening with Internet Explorer and Safari. Rest assured, there is absolutely no problem with security on the CLBB.
On another note, the minimum time between posts has been changed from 120 to 30 seconds.
Thanks for being so patient!

No progress? Can you tell us when this might be fixed? It's simply to difficult to spend any time on the board when each click results in a security warning!

I sent an email regarding this to the appropriate CL place and didn't even get a recognition of email sent reply. This was this past weekend and no reply to the email of any kind from a person or a machine. Apparently this is very low on the importance list.
ETA: At last, an email response.
Hey, Mike -
I know it’s frustrating and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but our tech team is aware of the issue on the Bulletin Boards and they’re currently working on it. We hope to have it fixed soon.
Thanks for being patient! I hope you have a great day!

I find it hard to believe that tech support can't fix the problem after this amount of time - if this happened at our hospital, our entire IT department would have been fired :(. It seems that this problem isn't very high on Time-Warner's priority list, but it will probably be another nail in the BB's coffin :( :(.

I agree. I love this board but I think I'm done until I see a message that it is fixed. :( I realize all I'm doing is cutting my nose to spite my face...but I'm annoyed with the lack of effort, the fact that I needed to change my settings, etc.
