On a couple of random occasions a whole palette of color choices appeared when I clicked the arrow by "A" for color. It felt like hitting jackpot :) All other times my only option remains black :(

ETA: I've answered my own question. Going back to edit my post the colors suddenly appeared. Magic!
Somebody please teach me how to erase an embarrassing thread :o Is there a user's manual somewhere??? CLBB for dummies ;)

The "color" problem has been around for a while. I discovered the same work-around that you did almost three years ago. My post concerning this problem is in the link below.
