Anyone have a paper towel holder they love.

I have 1 tiny area I could hang it on the wall, if the wall holder is the most preferred.
Happy to hear counter holder recs as well.

Thanks in advance :)

I have one that is mounted under the counter. Since I have limited counter space, this is perfect for me.

I also have an undercounter mounted holder (under the sink - horizontal). It is wood with a spindle shaped bar (sort of like a skinny rolling pin). The ends stick out of the holes in the blocks that attach it to the wall. The roll doesn't come loose and is easy to replace. I got mine at a garage sale so I don't know who makes them and unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures online.

Oops I misspoke - my paper towel roll is under my upper CABINETS - not under the counter.

It basically has the same kind of operation that Anne described as the wood dowel holding the roll slides out and then back again and rests - it is kind of u-shaped.

I have had mine for over 30 years  It is lucite and kind of a U shape with the dowel sticking out of holes in each short end. You can't see if because it is lucite and it is on the cabinet next to the sink so pretty handy.

I have an old wood one that stands on the counter. It is similiar to this one http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=13177287

I like it because it is one hand operation and I can carry them into another room or part of the kitchen easily.

Do these allow you to pull of single sheets easily even if the roll is 3/4 empty?

I have one like THIS (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=17641352&RN=515) one. I can tear a sheet off with one hand to the end of the roll.

OK, I just ordered the SimpleHuman easy load one.
They had a small video clip on amazon and enough people said having it on the counter is not a bad thing.
Until I know what we do with the countertops, this will do.

Thank you for your feedback!

I have a Cuisipro on the counter and a SimpleHuman under cabinet model in the laundry room. I actually like that one the best, but couldn't use it in the kitchen with under cabinet lights.

I keep my roll on the counter without a holder. Figured out that this was the convenient way for me. A holder is a bit more polished, but this works for me.

I just tried...and failed:o

My simple human one is going back. It too fails to stop the roll from rolling...defeats the purpose of a holder if you have to touch the roll with grimey hands....sigh.
