Does anyone have this book by Crescent Dragonwagon?? If so, has anyone tried the Pasta Sol (pp. 862-863 in my book)? Is it good??

Any really good recipes from this book that you would recommend?

I have this cookbook, but I haven't made the recipe you are asking about yet. Her recipe for cornbread, Dairy Hollow House Skillet-Sizzled Buttermilk Cornbread, is our regular house cornbread. It is always a big hit. I follow her instructions for making steel cut oats on p. 555. For my birthday a few years ago, my husband make the chocolate-walnut torte on p. 1003. The accompanying icing recipe is very good, and we have used it for other cakes.

As for entrees, I haven't made many from this book that we loved. It has been a while, but it seemed that a few of the bean recipes used a lot of ingredients and time and didn't really come together into great dishes.

Let us know what you find that you like. I am certainly willing to try again with this fun and thorough cookbook.
