Ok. I just finished making my "dish to pass" for our neighborhood block party. After 6 months of cooking almost exclusively from Cooking Light I made (brace yourselves) real potato salad with not just hard boiled eggs but also bacon! It was so fun to just cook without a recipe and put this dish together. I enjoy creative cooking and I have felt myself growing weary of following all these recipes. However, I think this was a momentary lapse and I'm sure I'll be back on the light wagon soon. Just wanted to get this off my chest to a supportive group to aleviate some of the guilt.

That's ok, Nirak. If your block party is anything like ours, people won't touch anything that doesn't appear to be fat-laden, anyway! :o

I guess that was what I was thinking, although part of me wanted to wow them with a light treat. There's nothing better than making something awesome and having people doubt that it is low fat. Anyway, I can bring it to the block party but I don't have to eat any.

Nirak, sometimes you just gotta do it!! When the kids are over for dinner, the first thing they ask is this FF or Low fat. Sometimes I get to tell them it's just like gramma {my mom} would make; fully loaded with comforting fat. Vicky
