I bought some lobster ravioli last week, and would like to make it for dinner. What kind of sauce would taste best? I've had it with a red pepper puree, but I thought that took away from the lobster flavor. If anyone has any suggestions (and recipes) I'd love to hear them.

tia,

(Actually I'd like SAUCE suggestions, but I can't correct the title to my thread.)

I'm thinking some sort of light cream sauce. Or perhaps a tomato cream sauce.Ok - I just got really hungry. Where did you find Lobster ravioli?

Leanne--

thanks for the reply. Both suggestions sound delicious. To answer your question, I got the lobster ravioli at Costco. I also bought a rosemary chicken ravioli there. I think there were 2 or 3 other flavors as well.

Not sure how available this is nationally--

but Putney Pasta makes some wonderful raviolis--lobster amongst them. I find them in my natural food store or the natural food frozen case at my supermarket.

I also vote for a cream-tomato type sauce. What time shall I come over?

We love the lobster ravioli at Costco! Tried it the 1st time with a spicy caper tomato sauce from Trader Joes which didn't do much justice. My hubby wanted to make it last night only we didn't have the right sauce. He asked me to pick up a tomato-alfredo sauce today. We buy the bottled or canned stuff and he spends time doctoring it so it tastes pretty darn good! Needless to say, I'm for the creamy tomato and recommend NOT the spicy tomato - caper!

I always make lobster ravioli with vodka sauce that I buy at the local Italian deli. Does anyone have a good recipe for this?
