We're having a block party next weekend. Last year the bees were really bothersome, hanging around the food. I think they will be a problem this year, too. Does anyone know of some kind of bee deterent (there were so many ideas about getting rid of ants a while back). Maybe I could sprinkle thyme and dance in circles or something like that ;) .
Any hints?
TIA,
Chrisi :p
Vinegar works! Just pour in shallow bowls and place on the tables. The downside: you have to make sure people know what is is for, and your guests will smell it. The traps that hang in trees help too.

I wish I would've seen these tips at the beginning of the summer!I may not have embarassed myself or family at picnics and bbq's by freaking out everytime one came 4 ft. from me! D) Zinnia
ok...... I have tried this site 2x and it isn't working:o
Try it this way, I hope it works.
Go to http://www.lifespan.org
under "allergies acting up" click "more about allergies"
Then under "insect bites and stings" click "avoid stinging insects"
and hopefully it will work. :D Zinnia
