I'm making this recipe to bring to a Rosh Hashana dinner tonight. I've had it baking in the oven for about 50 minutes and it's getting really dark around the edges and in the middle. I don't want to burn it but can't decide if it's done inside. Has anyone else made this and taken it out of the oven before the full hour it's supposed to cook? Thanks! I really want it to be good!:)

OK, it's more than an hour since you posted this, so presumably you made the pull-from-oven/no pull decision. But, for general edification, I made this recently and also cooked it a little bit less than the recipe called for, and it came out delicious. I've given up on trusting the times called for cooking or baking. I use them to ballpark a time (usually earlier then estimated cooking time) to start checking for doneness.
