can anyone help me out? I am trying to find out how corn oil is made. My husband and I disagree. I say there must be something added to it to make oil....I have researched online and haven't come up with any answer. can anyone help me out?

Yes, oil is pressed out of the part of the seed or whatever that contains the oil. That is how all oil is made, i.e, olive oil, they press the olives. Sesame oil, they press the sesame seeds - and so on.

Looked this up in Encarta 98:

Corn oil, extracted from the germ of the corn kernel, is used as a cooking and salad oil and, in solidified form, as margarine;
