I will be throwing an afternoon bridal shower for my sister in November for about 25 people then in the evening we will have a large family dinner for 60+ people. I am looking for recipe ideas for items that can be made ahead of time and would not require a large amount of prep work on the day of the event - so that everyone can enjoy themselves.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

What kind of receipes are you looking for? Appetizers, main dishes, veggies, salads-

Everything but dessert - I have that taken care of already.
I was also thinking lighter fare for the bridal shower in the afternoon and then a larger assortment for the dinner event due to the change of invitees. Maybe some items would cross over into both
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I recently through a shower for my sister and we served a variety of salads: taco, layered, spinach, shrimp & pasta, noodles with peanut sauce, and watergate (marshmallows, cool whip & pistachio jello mix for a lovely green color- definitely not a CL recipe). These choices were based on my sister's favorites. We were able to do a lot before and the recipes are easy to double or triple or whatever. We had about 20 guests & a ton of leftovers. It provided a nice variety for the ladies and could certainly be extended by grilled meat and veggies for the BBQ. CL is always running great salad recipes: choose your favorites!
