made the beef carbonade over the weekend everyone in the house loved it. to save money you can use stew meat. just let it cook a half hour longer. it is true it does melt in your mouth not in your hand. (lol) i am hoping to try to the artichoke/ spinich dip this weekend. by the way does anyone remember the name of the books in dec 99 discussing yoga. with the stress of school i could use something to help me chill out. thanks

Hi Matt, I've had the carbonnade tabbed since it re-appeared earlier this year but haven't made it yet. How do you think it would come out if I used a crock-pot with the stew quality meat? Is there anything specific I would need to change?

We also thought it was very good and I'm sure it could easily be made in a crock-pot. You might add just a little more liquid.
