I wanted to thank all of you for your help with my Eagles problem! I really like the area my boyfriend grew up and have a great time visiting his family (plus, I am beginning to think I can't live without the great Italian deli's!). Everyone I meet from central Jersey is so nice. Perhaps we will see each other at Delicious Orchards. Thanks again for all of your input!

There are still some nice folks left in NJ! Glad we could all help you out and I hope you enjoy your time here. And I hope your boyfriend gets to see the game! He sounds like my husband with the race. I made the mistake of buying Broadway tickets for the same day as the Daytona 500. We had to find a bar so he could watch part of the race before the play (Jekyll and Hyde with Jack Wagner- couldn't miss that one!)

Valerie,
I am so glad we could help. My husband and I keep trying to decide if we should move away, we both grew up at the shore (Pt. Pleasant). It is just getting terribly crowded, and as MrsReber pointed out, there are a FEW nice people still in NJ. Anyone on this board from NJ is included in that comment (meaning they are nice), and you all can agree I am sure that the unpleasant outnumber the nice tenfold. I hope your weekend is a huge success, spending so much time here must mean this is Pretty Serious http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Hope you have a great time this weekend! Let us know where you end up! I could use a relaxing afternoon in a bar watching football! It sounds like you won't be missing beach weather either!

Another Jersey girl busting in. Hasn't the weather been awful? The Point Pleasant fireworks were cancelled last night! Manasquan is scheduled to have them Saturday, along with a beach concert. My daughter (3 1/2) loves firewiorks. We are keeping our fingers crossed - which makes it very hard to type or cook! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I was going through withdrawal while I was in NJ because I couldn't access the board, but I found out that nobody could access the board. Somehow that made me feel a little better (am I an awful person or what!).
Thanks for all of your help, we had a great time in NJ, as always. Found a place in Colts Neck to watch the Eagles game (luckily, they won!). Had delicious subs from Elsie's? in downtown Red Bank and took the Big Kahuna on a trip up the Navasink River.
The best part was raiding my boyfriends mom's garden. I now have a ton of cherry & plum tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and basil. We also stopped at Delicious Orchards. I would go bankrupt if I lived in NJ just because I would be spending all of my money there!
Thanks again for all of your help, and Mrs. Reber, my first concert was Jack Wagner! I can understand the need to see him in anything (I try not to say that too loudly though!).

Valerie, I'm glad you had a great time in the Garden State! Yes, Delicious Orchards is an evil place. I have to stop there one night next week so I can get my pickling production going! Hope you enjoyed the Big Kahuna. It was fun for my brother's birthday party, but the music was LOUD! I wish I had known you wanted to raid a garden. I have way too many sweet cherry tomatoes and basil! Ah, yes, Jack Wagner was awesome in Jekyll and Hyde. My husband even thought he was excellent and was surprised he was such a good actor after seeing him on Melrose Place (he used to turn it on to watch, not me!!)- Again, glad you enjoyed the trip!

So glad you had a great time Valerie! My husband is dying to go on the Big Kahuna but we have not ever been! I always spend a fortune at Delicious Orchards but Sickles is closer so I spend too much money there instead! I only have green tomatoes..my 2 yo loves to pick them!
