I made this and wasn't happy. What is turmeric anyway? Was there too much cumin? I'm supposed to bring it to my next dinner meeting. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Turmeric is an Indian spice. It's sort of orange in color.
Tumeric is what gives prepared mustard its bright yellow color, and it's one of the spices in curry blends. It is also used in pickling....you've probably already figured out that is has a rather sharp taste.
Haven't made that recipe yet, but thought I would. I'll keep the spice jars handy.
