the o.g.p.b.&c. brownies received several, "ok, but cake tasting" reviews. however, mine turned out great and so did my friend's. not cake-y at all. we both used Duncan Hines Super Moist 'Pudding-in-the-Mix' and an extra 1/4 c. of the milk. i think the D.H. mix is the key! good luck!

I think that is the mix that I used, but I didn't add any extra milk to it. They were delicious! I think the brand of cake mix has a lot to do with it.

I made them last night... Very good, but looked a little funny...kind of puffy (not exactly like the cover). I believe I also used Duncan Hines. Adding a little more milk is probably a good idea!

Okay...my ooey gooey brownies just came out of the oven and I am DYING to dig in. They look great and hope that they will taste just as good. You remember my favorite gadget, the battery operated frother...well it worked wonderful for beating the egg white. I put egg white in coffee cup and alas...didn't have to use the whisk and egg was beaten within a few seconds. Another great way to use this gadget. The only thing I didn't like about this recipe is the ooey gooey mess to clean up but sure liked licking the spatula! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
