Costco has a large quantity of goat cheese for under half of what the supermarket wants. I have frozen most every cheese successfully, but has anyone tried freezing goat cheese??

I've been searching to find out...can you freeze goat cheese? Joyce didn't get an answer when she posted, but I'm hoping someone can help us out now!!

I don't know, but I did buy goat cheese at Costco once and was terribly disappointed in the taste. Others on this board said they have been pleased with their goat cheese from Costco. I would love to know about freezing, but my instincts tell me it isn't a good idea.

I buy that same goat cheese at Costco and I freeze it ALL the time. I cut it in 3 pieces and foodsave it and freeze those.

As far as the taste, if eaten plain I don't care for it (the Costco kind) BUT I usually cook with it (like in the Pasta with herbed goat cheese and tomatoes recipe) and in terms of that it is great. I just don't care for it plain.
