Anyone diagnosed with vocal nodes?

As a singer, I've heard plenty of stories about nodes and nodules. The fact that Julie Andrews can't sing any longer scares me to pieces. In any case, I've been dealing with some nodes for a few years now, and they only affect me when I'm singing anything moderately low.

Does anyone here have any experiences with them?
