Nancy,

What CL are you trying to install? If you are just trying to open a cookbook with CL recipes that's easy to do. You just open the file from MasterCook and give it a new name -- it shouldn't override any of your recipes that you already have -- On the main menu (viewing the cookbooks) to to file open and type in the name. The same would hold true if you purchased a CookPak (all the recipes from a recent CL issue -- see the CL store on the Web). You can just open the file and save as a new cookbook.

If you have two versions of MasterCook which contains cookbooks. The versions (I believe are all different -- maybe not MC 6.0), but the install program is supposed to find and update upon installation. Sierra has a website at www.mastercook.com. (http://www.mastercook.com.)

Hope this helps -- if I didn't answer any of your questions. Just post agains!

When you install another MC program, it asks you if you want to search for other files and incorporate them. It appears that it will put the new CL material into a CL Collection folder within the MC folder.

You could try that route. The other suggestion would be to run the CL program from the disk (don't install the entire program) and copy whatever cookbooks that aren't duplicated over into the MC file. I did that by opening up windows for both programs in "My Computer", then doing a click and drag. When you get back into MC, hit F5 to get MC to refresh and be able to find the new files (Thanks again, Phoebe!)

I currently have Mastercook installed on my computer. I have held off enstalling CL because it looks like it duplicates the program THEN adds new recipes. I would like to install ONLY the recipes. Is this possible? Can someone walk me thru it?

I am new to this bulletin board, so if there already are instructions somewhere, please steer me there.

Thank you,
