Besides getting lucky at a garage sale, and they're kind of over for the year, where do you think I'd get a good deal?

The only thing that comes to mind is a thrift store.

PM and posted...

This is a search under Ebay for Kitchenaid mixers.

Also, under 'food processors':

Happy Hunting!

I think Amazon has reconditioned items, maybe they would have something you are looking for.
I have the mini-prep that I'm getting rid of, but I think you are looking for the larger one.
Good Luck!

Sometimes the manufacturers also sell reconditioned appliances. You might check the websites for cuisinart, kitchenaid and any other manufacturer you are interested in.

My mom got me a reconditioned food processor at a Sunbeam store years ago...she didn't even know it was second hand, just thought she got a great deal! It worked perfectly for about 10 years then just died one day...I would definitely purchase another refurbished model.

Thanks beejay and all others. I spent time on Amazon and checked out the last link you sent, beejay. I'm psyched and have sent the links to DH for a possible Christmas gift. It is more than we like to spend on one another (the kids have priority), however, a $300 machine for $150 ain't bad at all!

If you live near an outlet mall, kitchen appliance stores may sell them. I know that the Kitchen Collection carried reconditioned small appliances. Vicky
