This was excellent, and very easy once I got the shrimp peeled and deveined. I added a little cornstarch to the pan to thicken up the sauce. Served it over steamed rice. You've got to love garlic for this one for sure! I think the addition of some veggies would be great, maybe bell pepper, onion, broccoli, zucchini, etc.

I haven't tried this one, but the couple of other things I've tried out of Superfast have been great! Glad to add this recipe to the list. Thanks.

I like this one a lot, too -- I pulled it from the web site a couple of years ago, and my family loved it.

How would this recipe be with something other than shrimp, like chicken or scallops or tofu? I haven't seen the recipe yet, so I don't know what the ingredients are. I'm off to do a search for the recipe right now, but I'd love feedback from people who have made it. Thanks!

Would someone be able to post this recipe?. I'm still having trouble finding this magazine.
Thanks
Jeanne

Jeanne, it's actually in the recipe finder, as are many of the other recipes in the magazine.
I tried to post a link for you, but it didn't work. :(

Super easy, pretty tasty! (And very garlicky!)

I subbed Roasted Garlic Chicken Broth for the white wine. I also cut back a bit on the garlic; since I didn't have most of the herbs, I left them out. But the chicken broth contained most of those, so it was still pretty close.

Served it with some sugar snap peas and some green beans. The shrimp was so quick I didn't even have time to make some "fake" bread!

Jeanne, not a problem! How could you have known it was in there? -- it's a new issue, after all :)

We had this last night and it was very tasty (we love garlic). Served it with Saffrom Risotto, with the garlic sauce spooned over the risotto. Quick and easy dinner!

So simple, but sooooo good! Of course, we are major garlic fans so I knew we would love this one. This is the first recipe I have tried from the supplement and I was very pleased. I'm going to cook from it all week. Hopefully, there will be other successes!

DH= and I both loved this, substituted scallops for the shrimp (I'm allergic) and it was great. I served it over some left over plain ziti from the night before, I just tossed the pasta in with the sauce and then added the scallops back in.

Aggie I think chicken would work well also!:D

I made it with scallops too- very easy and yummy. Served over brown rice. Next time I'll use milder wine- came out just a bit too winey for me, but definately a keeper. So quick!

OK I know this is an old thread, but I have this book and cannot find this recipe in the index. Am I missing something???

Editing to add: Ignore this, I just found it as part of this thread. http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19027&highlight=garlic+lover%2A+shrimp

Dredging up this oldie to add my review. I made it Monday for dinner and anticipate having variations on the leftovers (garlic chicken ceasar salad, for example) for lunch throughout the week. I thought it was good, very good -- but not great. I was about to say there are too many other yummy-sounding shrimp recipes to try when I read Peggy C tried it with scallops. I may have to try that approach...
