View Full Version : "Winterlude"
I am putting together a social event entitled, "Winterlude." Does anyone have any fun/clever ideas for decorations?

Ktw, when will it be? Where will it be? At your home or another location?
I would say use candles, and lots of them! Check out the Illuminations website for some beautiful holiday/winter-ish candles and decorations.
And no, I don't work for them! I was just there a couple days ago cyber-shopping. :D

What about a snowflake/winter wonderland/icy type theme? Shades of blues, silver, white, and sparkles? And I like the candle idea--lots of candles always add such a nice touch to any event.
Can you give us some more information about what type of event this will be? That might help us tailor our responses to be more suited.
Thanks for your replies and sorry if I was too vague. "Winterlude" is a theme for a cocktail party the weekend before Christmas. It is basically a holiday party for the City of Burke's retailers, being hosted by City Hall. There isn't a big budget, not much at all for decorations. We will be using lots of candles and I really like the snowflake idea. Any thoughts as to where to purchase them?
Thanks, again, for your help!

I wonder if the elementary schools can help you. I bet the kids would be making snowflakes anyway, you buy the materials .... just a thought.
