I was pleasantly surprised!
This was one of those recipes that I almost ditched at the last minute...I was nervous being a fennel virgin and all :o
I wouldn't say it was a bowl over recipe but it was easy and very unique in taste...for the positive :) It is not your average pasta and sauce meal. Fennel is actually quite delicious and while it smells kind of licorice-like, the flavor actually is quite different when paired with the leeks and tomato. I was generous with the tarragon but that's really all I changed.
I served with egg noodles as the recipe suggested.
I have to say for not being initially impressed, I have made a few keepers already. And the recipes are a bit of a stray from the usual which is nice.
