View Full Version : Question about Weight Watchers

After six years of being overweight and hating it, I've finally decided that for whatever reason, I cannot lose this weight by myself. I exercise almost daily and eat CL but I need extra help. I weigh at the top of the healthy weight for my height and have a BMI of 24-25; I want to bring it down to 20-21.

Sooooo...after reading many positive posts about WW on this site, I am going to my local office to try it.

I am wondering what to expect when I go. I sort of get how the plan works, but what happens at meetings and what do you do when you first get there?

Thanks.

Jessica

Hi Jessica!

Good for you, for taking this positive step. I think you will find that everyone at the meeting will be very welcoming and nice. Try to get there about 20-30 minutes before the meeting starts. There will probably be someone at the door to greet you. Tell that person, or anyone with a name tag, that you are new and you will be given some paperwork to fill out. Then you'll stand in line to weigh in, and one of the receptionists will get a starting weight and give you some payment options. (I recommend one of the pre-pay packages.) You'll also receive a packet of materials. Then have a seat, enjoy the meeting, and plan to stay about 15 or 20 minutes after the meeting ends. The Leader will go over the program with you and answer any questions you still have.

I hope you enjoy it. Two years after achieving Lifetime member status, I still follow the program and love it!
