ISO Quad Cities Turkey Run

I'll be in the Quad Cities with my in-laws for Thanksgiving (and, in case you're wondering, that's a good thing. it will be fun :-) But, I'd love to find a Thanksgiving fun run in the area. There's nothing better to justify extra pumpkin pie than a good, long run on a chilly morning! I've done a bit of web surfing, but thought I'd ask here, as well.

Is anyone from that area, or familiar with their races?

I'm from the Quad Cities -- they have a race every year on Thanksgiving morning. It's called the Turkey Trot, it's held in downtown Davenport.
I believe it's a 5 mile race, but I think they also have shorter races for younger runners.
I'm not sure who organizes it --I think it might be the YMCA.... but the Cornbelt Running Club should have info on the race. Their website is www.cornbelt.org

Thank you so much! I'll definitely check out the website. Not sure who else in the family I can convince to do it with me, but I'll probably go for it. The midwest is having such an awesome Autumn, I hope it will be a great race day.
