I recently found some cardamom pods, and I would like to clarify exactly what they are for people who might not know. I think CL erred by not showing a *picture* of cardamom pods in the Nov. issue. (They didn't, did they?)
I thought the cardamom pods themselves were seeds, because they're about the size of very large peas. So, I was looking for a larger pod for the pods themselves to fit in!! Anyway, I talked to an Indian friend, who told me that the (green) pea-sized structures themselves are the pods. Hope this makes it easier for anyone who is looking for them. (By the way, the pods are dry and come in containers--not fresh like what you would see in a produce section.)
