Did see your post but didn't reply because I haven't ventured to try one of those recipes. But you said you were going to try the pork, hope that you do and you'll post your results!
This mornings BB made me feel sort of like a Space-cadet!

I never saw it, but I'll assume you were asking if anyone had made recipes from the salt article?

I made the jewel salad. It was very tasty and I was surprised that the kosher salt gave it a different taste then regular salt. A definate repeater for me. The Spanish toast is also a repeater. Very tangy, nice way to dress up bread when you're having company.

Yeah Denise, I posted about the salt article in October's issue. I plan to make the pork tacos tonight. I was also wondering if anyone has ever tried using rock salt. I love salt, espically kosher salt, so that article caught my eye!

I recently have started using kosher salt in a lot of cooking, and I'm surprised what a difference it makes! I hardly ever use table salt now.

I haven't really had time to look through the magazine yet. That's part of my weekend plan. I didn't realize there was an article on salt.

I recently started using sea-salt from the mediterranean. I couldn't believe the flavor difference from table salt. It is also in rock form and I keep a mortar/pestle near my stovetop to grind it. It is great to grind fresh herbs or peppercorns with a little salt, because the salt crystals help the grinding action. It's also good for grinding dried herbs - helps to release the flavors.
